Types of board gamesBoard games have a variety of uses. It helps children develop skills such as being analytical and having a healthy competition which is essential in today’s world. They also help kids improve their memory and can also be educational, for instance, helping the child get associated with colors or shapes and other such aspects. But most importantly, they make a great and fun family pastime. Board games can be for anyone. They can be for little kids, bigger children, teenagers, young adults, adults and even senior citizens. Board games are usually either luck based or strategy based. But usually they are a combination of both and I think them to be the most fun! Two typical games for kids are Candyland and Chutes and Ladders. Candyland is not only a fun way that helps kids identify various colors but it also teaches them how to understand simple game rules and follow them. Shoots and Ladders, on the other hand, teach kids how to count with the roll of a dice. And this is a game that can be played by many players so it teaches children how to wait for their turn and also introduced them to the concept of ‘luck’ that is present in some games like this one. Most of these games are just easier versions of the difficult games played by adults. For example, Monopoly Jr., Scrabble Jr. etc… which are educational, fun and groom kids to be a part of the world we all live in. Other games that can be played by kids are Carom and Chess. Though they are slightly more difficult, but are a great way of improving a child’s mental skills. Here are 5 fun games for you and your family: 1. SORRY.
